Salesperson - Commercial HVAC Industry

Nailor Industries Inc., Toronto Contract Sales Department, is seeking a highly motivated Salesperson to join their very successful sales team. This person will be involved with all aspects of estimation, job closings, and negotiating with clients, for the purpose of receiving Purchase Orders. They will also be involved with all aspects of managing the jobs awarded, including releasing the materials.

Our clients are in the commercial construction industry. We work with Mechanical and Sheet Metal Contractors to ensure their orders with us are managed effectively and are released on schedule. Our sales team works closely with Mechanical Design Engineering and Developers assisting with training, and design of their projects in relation to our products. We also assist other sectors of the construction industry that may include, inspection, commissioning, as well as government agencies.

Nailor manufacturers an extensive line of products that support the distribution and control of commercial mechanical “airside” systems. We manufacture diffusers, grilles, control, fire, fire/smoke dampers. We have an industry leading Terminal Unit line that consists of single, dual duct boxes, fan powered units. The Nailor Sales team works with other manufacturers and/or manufacturer reps to help fulfill the specific product requirements of our clients.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Sales Manager and support staff to bid, tender and acquire jobs.
Manage all aspects of awarded projects.
Maintain and support accounts given.
Acquire new clients.
Ensure client requests and issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
- Estimation:
Read and Interpret specifications, blueprints and schedules in preparation for bidding.
Use in-house software to quote specified products.
When applicable, work with other suppliers to ensure bid packages are complete.
Meet job closing deadlines that are put forth.
- Sales:
Follow-up bids and quotes in order to receive an order.
Negotiate with clients to ensure jobs are awarded.
Increase profits/sales for your managed accounts
- Client Support:
Work with customer service to ensure your clients needs are met.
Assist with questions regarding product and applications.
Use in-house software to help with selections of product.
Troubleshoot issues when and if they arise.
- Project Management:
Create and Prepare submission packages when job is awarded.
Create room schedules for job releasing.
Ensure materials are released on time according to delivery schedules.
Education:
A college technical degree with credits in HVAC programs.
Experience: 2-5 years
Skills Required:
Sales and negotiating.
Project Management.
Experience in mechanical systems is required.
Experience with mechanical drawings and tender documents.
Proficient in Math.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
High attention to detail.
Organized, reliable, trustworthy with strong time management skills.
Must be highly motivated and self-driven.
Working knowledge of PC software - Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat is beneficial.
