The UPT is commonly used to send a modulating output signal to a digital controller (by others) to modulate one or more dampers to control pressure set-point in response to a thermostat demand which is located in the room. The digital controller may alternatively be used to control a variable frequency drive (VFD) on a vertical air column that is pressurizing the underfloor plenum.
